So this week is bursting to the seam of video games, video games, and more video games! Which yes is most definitely a good thing. E3 is here and isn't leaving out any type of gamer from casual to hard-core. While Nintendo's past presentations haven't been too notable, the one this year makes up for that.
Their presentation left everyone bewildered with a remarkable line-up of innovative games as well as giving a hands-on demo of the new Nintendo3DS. The 3DS looks incredible with the newly announced Kid Icarus game accompanying its release on the 3DS only. The best part about it is that you don't need glasses to see the 3D! Now you don't have to look like a complete idiot while you wear a pair of 'sleek' (haha) 3D glasses in the airport while you wait for your plane and decide to kill some time playing with your 3DS. The 3DS has 3 camera spots included (that's right; 3!). Two of them are on the outside of the system and allow you to take pictures in 3D while the other is on the inside and takes normal pictures. Nintendo also said that the graphics will be improved on the 3DS as well and the 3DS also has a new analog stick above the typical arrow pad.
Nintendo shocked everyone at E3 announcing the return of several classic games on the Wii/DS which for the most part were completely unexpected. Among the new titles announced were Kirby: Epic Yarn, Donkey Kong Country Revisited, The Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword, Epic Mickey, and Golden Sun DS. Nintendo announced so many games that it's hard to guess which game will be the most anticipated and which will sell the most copies.
Along with all these games being announced, Nintendo also announced partnerships with several other game companies which now allows for Metal Gear Solid and other games to come to the 3DS, so hard-core gamers don't feel left out.
I can’t wait to see how other companies compare to Nintendo but I can say it’ll be pretty hard to match up to what Nintendo’s shown.
